Units of Measure


        

Units of Measure (UOM) is a unit of product.  In the unit may have a specified number of items. Created for use in setting up the item and is used as a unit of the product for sale in the system.

How to convert the unit for UoM

Example, convert the unit from Gallon is Liter

  1. Going to the Main Menu > General >  Units of Measure

  1. Create the UoM is Gallon

Name : Name of UoM, input Gallon.

Type : select the type is Weight

Ratio : set as liters per 1 Gallon. For example, 1 Gallon = 250 liter.

  1. Create the UoM is Liter

Name : Name of UoM

Type : select type is Weight.

Ratio : set the ratio = 1.00

  1. Going to the Product and set the field Default UoM is Liter.

  1. Going to the Goods Receipt to move the product in that the UoM is Gallon.

  1. Going to the Stock Card Report, the report shows the Qty that the UoM is Liter. The Qty calculate from 3 Gallon x Liter (that the ratio = 250) = 750

  1. Going to Goods Issue to move the product out. The Goods Issue can move out the product that the UoM are both Gallon and Liter
  1. For example, Goods Issue that the UoM is Gallon

        In Stock Card, after moving the product out for 1 Gallon, the system will move the product out from the stock that the UoM is Liter (250 Liter).

In Stock Card, after moving the product out for 5 Liter, the system will move the product out from the stock that the UoM is Liter (5 Liter)
