Rental Items

In the rental module a new rental item or rental unit can be created following the link:

• Main Menu >> Rental >> Settings

• The following entry screen will appear:

• To create rental item select New Rental Item button:

• The mandatory fields are marked with a red dot. The rental item number is an alphanumeric field which should be unique for every rental equipment. The product field refers to the machine model, the Lot/Serial Number field is used in the inventory module to identify the machine in the inventory system.

• The Service Resource and Service Item fields are used to relate the Rental Item to a Service Resource so that working hours can be recorded and to a service item to record machine operational parameters. The warehouse location lists the rental location or branch where the rented equipment will be stored. The current location displays the location where the equipment is currently rented out.

• Following entry formats should be followed:

• The Name of the rental item should use the model name
• Serial number of the rental item to clearly identify the rental equipment, while the product can be selected from a drop down list.
• To complete the rental item fields, service resources and service items can be configured:

• A service resource can be configured for the rental item in the service module via the following link: Main Menu >> Service >> Resources
• A service resource can be configured for the rental item in the service module via the following link: Main Menu >> Service >> Service Items
