How to add new “Chart of Accounts”

The configuration of the Chart of accounts can be accessed via the Accounting menu item in the main menu.

From the Settings menu item in the accounting primary menu select Chart of Accounts 

Once the Chart of Accounts is selected in the settings menu item on the primary accounting menu the Chart of accounts will appear.

The Netforce Accounting module supports a very flexible Chart of Accounts. Number of accounts are unlimited and the layout of the Chart of accounts can be customized. Accounts can be nested in different sub-categories by using the View type. In this example the account code 1101-01 with account name Cash on hand is a child account of the account 1100 ( View Type ). Entering different child accounts to one parent account in view type will automatically show summarize the total of all these child accounts to the parent account

Adding accounts can be done by selecting the add Account button

 

Selecting the Add account button will display the entry screen from where the account type has to be selected. Account types are fixed and will determine where the account will be displayed in the different accounting reports as shown below.

 In the selection of type accounts we can select a view type to create a parent account summarizing all child accounts

Click on Import button to import accounts from CSV file. Choose the file from file system and click Import.

The .CSV file for chart of account should be formatted as shown in the picture below.

Fixed Asset Type field related form “Fixed Asset Type” module at Fixed Asset Account same account.

On the Payment page you can select that account code.
