Create Supplier Credit Note
Credit Notes Purchase Invoice
- Go to menu Accounting → Supplier → Payable → New Credit Note

- Input credit notes details
- Contact: Supplier name
- Billing Address : Automatically selected, if available billing address is configured in contact
- Date : Credit note date
- Due Date : Credit note due date
- Number : Running sequence number automatically generated by system
- Ref : Reference document number (If available)
- Currency : Automatically selected default currency
- Tax Type : There are 3 types of tax
- Tax Exclusive (Purchase total before VAT)
- Tax Inclusive (Purchase total included VAT)
- No Tax (Sales total without VAT)
- Memo : Memo as text
- Payment Terms: Automatically selected when selecting a contact (See how to configure payment term in how to set up “Payment Term Methods”) or manually select. The system computes a payment due date by using the number of days that are set up in payment terms.
- Tax No. : Running sequence number automatically generated by system (Incase Tax Invoice)
- Related To : Be able to select manually such as sales order or invoice.

- Product : Select product item (The product can be product or service)
- Description : Product name or description (This can be default product name by select product item) or type description manually.
- Qty : Product Quantity
- UoM : Unit of Measure of product
- Unit Price : Price per unit of product
- Account : Expense /Purchase/ Good In transit account
- Tax Rate : Purchase tax component by line
- Amount : Automatically computes the amount by line
- Click Save button after completion or Click Approve button to post the credit note.
- The status has changed to “Waiting Payment”

- View journal account by clicking Options → View Journal Entry

- Journal entry of the credit note

Create credit from invoice.
- Go to menu: Accounting → Supplier → Payable. Open an invoice in “Awaiting Payment Status” then click Options → Copy To Credit Note.

- System will create a draft credit note and Be able to edit unit price and qty , Click Save button after completion

- The status has changed to “Waiting Payment”

- View journal account by clicking Options → View Journal Entry

- Journal entry of the credit note

How to Allocate Credit Note
- Go to the Menu Accounting → Supplier → Payable, select the invoice that the status is “Waiting Payment” then click “Credit this invoice” on the bottom left of the invoice

- After clicking “Credit this invoice” , the system will go to the page “Allocate Credit to Invoice”. The system will select the credit note that is involved and show the credit note document that needs to allocate. If the document that is not involved to Allocate, can click the mark “x”.
- After input the amount, click the button “Allocate Credit”

- After Allocate, the invoice will show the amount that debited the invoice at Less Credit Note

- After Allocate, the system will create the Journal Entry Allocate and JV Allocate will record Dr, A/P and Cr, A/P and the amount that Allocate.


How to print Credit Note
- Click the button “Print” to print the credit note. The system will show the template type that is Supplier Credit Note

Note. If the template is customize, must set the template by go to the Main Menu General → General → Report Templates and select template type is Supplier Credit Note

For the standard template, must click the button “Fetch Default” to update is the template if Netforce edit the template
